Come down to Cockle Bay and learn all about enjoying boating and relaxing on and around Sydney Harbour. The Sydney Harbour Week festival begins with Sail & Power Expo which will run from Friday March 3 to Sunday March 5 from 10:00am - 5:00pm at Sydney's Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour. This is certainly a must for all boating enthusiasts, featuring a wide range of boating lifestyles, including the latest in luxury power, racing and cruising yachts, dinghies, marine gear, sailing charters and holidays and much more. Boats on display include - Beneteau, Elan, Jeanneau, Bavaria Seawind Catarmarans, Sea Ray, Hanse, Dufour, Mustang, Hallberg-Rassy, Hunter Yachts

Proudly presented by: Sail Expo and Ocean Magazine, NSW Maritime and Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority Sydneysiders of all ages are invited to come and celebrate the remarkable diversity of Sydney’s enticing harbour during Sydney Harbour Week from 3 to 12 March 2006 – now in its fourth year.

There are 45 exciting events taking place on and around the harbour – plenty for families to choose from – and many of them are FREE! From novice snorkeller to die-hard yachtie, from avid foreshore walker, to would-be sailors with a thirst for seafaring adventure, Sydney Harbour Week has something for everyone. Explore the wonders of Sydney Harbour in myriad ways. See the latest on offer to the nautical

world at the annual Sail Expo or enjoy the experience of sailing as it was centuries ago on one of the Tall Ships. Pack a picnic and head to a spectacular vantage point to watch 100 classic ferries and workboats battle it out on a race around Sydney Harbour.

Choose from a series of guided tours and discover the beauty and rich history of Sydney Harbour and some of its islands. Swim fans can join in the 5th Annual Sydney Harbour Swim Classic. The race to Fort Denison and back celebrates Sydney’s commitment to a clean harbour and supports the Melanoma Foundation.

Support Sydney’s disadvantaged kids by taking a child on a free sail around the harbour or get a group together for a harbour cruise to raise money for 11 major children’s charities. Go for a snorkel or scuba dive and discover a wondrous world of aquatic wildlife or learn about fascinating marine creatures on a Rockpool Discovery Tour.

Enjoy an Active Fun Day for all the family with free fishing clinics, a BBQ, live entertainment, rides for the kids, water activities and more.

For a perfect way to see the harbour, grab a paddle and join up to 400 other paddle-craft as they make their way across Sydney Harbour from McMahon’s Point to Manly.
