Company news: Elan, a highly regarded international sail and powerboat maker based in Slovenia has chosen Simrad Yachting to be the exclusive supplier on all of its sailing yachts. The fit specified will be made up from Simrad equipment packs for the different Elan models, and may include: IS12 instruments (Combi, Wind), CP31 chartplotter, NavStation (CX34, CX44), VHF (RD68, RS82) and autopilots (TP32, WP32, AP16) . “With plans for 300 yachts and the introduction of two new yachts in 2006 the flexibility in size and power in the range from Simrad is ideal for Elan,” says Ralf Bruesse, Managing Director, Simrad GmbH. The Elan contract follows Simrad GmbH's success with gaining a supplier contract with Hanse Yachts in September 2005. |
