At sea. Atlantic Rowing Race: Support yacht Aurora to contact Mission Atlantic PDF Print E-mail

Paula, Kathy, Sarah and Lois:

The leaders in the pack are now looking forward to finishing but on Bout de Vie there was some consternation when they realised that they forgot to pack the forward and aft mooring lines! Bout de Vie also takes the prize for celebrating the most unusual anniversary on any boat. On Tuesday Dumé celebrated his 18th anniversary of being shot in the leg with a large calibre bullet that led to his leg being amputated. This amazing duo of French amputees are in now 5th place and finished their last dispatch with “the road is chaotic but still long!” which is probably echoed throughout the fleet!

But what of our happy crew? Well the support yacht Aurora is currently sneaking up on them from behind so they should make contact this morning and we will hopefully have more up to date news on life on board MA from them if they can relay a message. – We will keep you posted!
Mission Atlantic is crewed by Paula Evemy, Kathy Tracey, Sarah Day, Lois Rawlins-Duquemin from Guernsey, C.I.
