Boat builder news:
Suffolk based Broadblue Catamarans has announced the introduction of the
435 to its range for 2006. An enhanced version of the Broadblue 42, which has recently been nominated for the Cruising World 'Boat of the Year' award in the USA, the 435 is an exceptional Catamaran in every sense.
Entirely built in the UK by Broadblue and its partner Goodchild Marine Services, the 435 has a longer hull than the 42 to incorporate a full, teak laid boarding platform and stainless steel grab handles to improve reboarding from swimming and boarding from the dinghy. Improved fendering makes docking easier and prevents damage when moored stern to. This is especially important in the Mediterranean where many Broadblue Catamarans are already berthed.
The interiors of the Broadblue range have been praised for their layout, quality of fittings and carpentry, which is carried out by experienced shipwrights and cabinet makers. The 435 has gone a stage further with interior development, and owners will enjoy an exceptional standard of luxury and well-thought layout designed for extended cruising in comfort.
While the 42 was a spirited sailing yacht, the 435 will enjoy even greater performance from its improved sail plan. The new Broadblue 435 has been developed to eat up the miles and provide its owners with a stable and exhilarating sailing experience. Managing Director of Broadblue, Robert Underwood was delighted with the sailing performance of the new yacht, “We are confident that once the owner gets to sea in a steady breeze he will not want to come ashore! These Cats are built for sailors who love cruising and the built in safety and stability of this British built design, the 435, is simply perfect for the family, whatever the age.”
Details of the new 435, which will be launched in the spring of 2006, can be seen aboard the Broadblue 385 on berth 22 of the London Boat Show Marina. |
