Product news: Barton Marine is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of deckware and its new Line Tamer continues to assist the process of keeping lines and halyards in order. The Barton Line Tamer is a new rope handling device, launched at METS 2005, which keeps ropes secure and tidy from a dinghy to a yacht or motorboat of any size. The Line Tamer will be on display at the London Boat Show on the Plastimo Stand N1207. Boat owners will be able to ensure that stray lines are kept neat and untangled whilst sailing or on the mooring. Halyards and lines can be secured around the Line Tamer on yachts and can also be used to neatly stow a mooring line on a motorboat, making it easier to keep the line ready for quick mooring. “We understand that efficiency is important and we have designed the Line Tamer so that it is easy to install and use,” comments Paul Botterill, Director at Barton Marine. “It provides crew and skipper with the assurance and convenience that a line can be quickly grabbed, without having to detangle the rope before adjusting the sail.” Highly durable, the Line Tamer is produced from the same glass filled nylon as the sides of the Barton Blocks.
