UK. Former British Waterways manager gets OBE |

Paul Wagstaffe, who retired as British Waterways’ customer relations manager, at the end of March 2003, was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list.
Prior to his appointment with BW, Wagstaffe was executive director of the British Marine Industries Federation (now the BMF), for 30 years, a member of the Inland Waterways Amenity Advisory Council and a vice president of the Inland Waterways Association. Since retiring, Wagstaffe has continued to be involved with waterways as secretary of the Thames Boating Trades Association, chairman of the Royal Yachting Association's Inland Navigation Committee and a member of the Environment Agency's Thames Region Regional Fisheries, Ecology & Recreation Advisory Committee.
