Lombard Marine Finance has taken on Matt Bass as Senior Marine Manager with responsibility for sales and new business development. Matt has worked within Lombard since 1996 and joins the marine finance team in Chandler’s Ford from a London-based position where he was responsible for new business development within the corporate team, focussing on £25million+ businesses. His new role will see him working on new business strategies and increasing business within the marine finance team.
Outside of work, Matt’s interests include powerboating (proud owner of a Donzi 22ZX) – he is a member of Ellingham Waterski and Wakeboard club where he is a keen slalom skier and he is also currently learning to sail, taking the Yachtmaster theory exams in March 2006.
Lombard’s Marine Finance Team currently stands at 17 members of staff. Ian Braham, Head of Marine Finance, said “Despite comments about a slow down in the retail sector, we can report a 10 per cent increase in business turnover. This increase has meant that we need extra staff and more office space to accommodate them. This is a direct result of people looking to finance new or used sail and power boats choosing Lombard.”
