Ciaran and Gearoid:

Digicel Atlantic Challenge are back racing again. As the low pressure system moves north, more favourable winds have returned enabling Ciaran and Gearoid to get moving towards Antigua again. Of course, everyone else in the race is moving too so its back to 2 hours on, 2 hours off with the compass pointing towards Antigua.

Delighted to be rowing again, Gearoid reported that both rowers are in great form, feeling healthy and "mad for road". The training program put together by Dr Giles Warrington, together with the nutritional supplements provided by Beeline Healthcare, are paying dividends as they are reporting feeling "fitter" as the race has progressed. The crew have made good progress over the last two days and are now sitting about 30nm behind the lead boats.

Both Ciaran and Gearoid wanted to thank those that have sent them messages via their sat phone. "It's been unbelivable", added Ciaran. "Everytime we turn the phone on it goes mad with message received, message received, message received.. I don't know if people really understand how cool it is to get so many messages when you are bobbing about in the middle of the Atlantic with nothing but stormy seas around for miles. Our only frustration is that we can't reply!"

Keep them coming, especially over the Christmas period - the lads will still be clocking in for work every two hours while we have pints and eat our Christmas dinner. Of course they don't know it yet but there is Christmas cake on board....
