Boat Builder news:
Demonstrating an enviable ability to build bigger and better boats, Sunseeker International displays no less that 12 of the finest and largest luxury motoryachts this year at Schroder''s London International Boat Show at ExCel. Confidence at Sunseeker is high following reports of huge successes achieved at 2005 boat shows on both sides of the Atlantic in Southampton and Ft. Lauderdale, and thanks to another record year financially.
New product development and the success of the award-winning Yacht Range have helped the company to achieve record sales figures once again, increasing annual turnover by 15% to £172 million (US$311 million).
New Portofino 47
Making its international debut on the Sunseeker stand S2540 at ExCel, the Portofino 47 demonstrates the design team’s relentless quest for innovative ways of achieving a fine balance between good ergonomics and stylish design. This versatile sports cruiser features a broad beam and longer hull providing a much greater volume throughout than its predecessor the Portofino 46. In addition to the new hard top, more powerful, technically-advanced engines deliver improved performance and its enhanced layout has increased accommodation in all areas.
In the cockpit, the improved helm position features a double seat and plenty of seats for guests, the dining area is complemented by a full wet bar, top-loading fridge, bottle storage and a fully-equipped galley. A central staircase leads down to the main saloon and cabin accommodation, and entertainment comes in the form of a flat screen television, DVD, CD and radio with full audio surround-system.
At ExCel this year, there is a chance to board and admire the new Portofino 47 and no less than a further 11 Sunseeker craft including the Predator 82 and 72, 75 Yacht, 82 Yacht, Manhattan 66, Manhattan 60, Portofino 53, Manhattan 50 on the Sunseeker Stand S2540 and the 105 Yacht, Predator 95 and a second 82 Yacht on berths D11, D12 and D13. |
