Exhibition news:
The new event, first announced at the Allianz Direct IMF Boat Show in February 2005, will take place in Malahide Marina, Malahide, Co. Dublin, from April 28th through May 1st. 2006.
Announcing the new event, IMF Chairman, Mr. Brian O’Sullivan said:
“IMF research had highlighted the need for an opportunity for the marine industry to showcase its wares in the year when the IMF Boat Show was not being run in the RDS exhibition centre.
Most exhibitors want an event which is very different in nature to our biennial flagship event in the RDS. This event will be fresh, exciting, and attractive to the boating public, as well as cost effective and easy for exhibitors to participate in”.
“There will also be an extensive area of fully serviced covered display space, to meet the needs of exhibitors showing outboard motors, engines, electronics, chandlery, safety equipment, clothing, chandlery and a big emphasis on training schools and courses”.
“We believe the IMF On the Water Boat Show will meet all the industry’s needs, and provide an innovative focus for the boating public in 2006. We’ll be able to display bigger boats than ever shown before at any Boat Show in Ireland. We plan a busy calendar of attractions throughout the show, especially on the water attractions, which will add a new dimension and hold the attention of visitors through out the day.
“This will be a really exciting event, and already has the support of almost all the major players in the marine industry in Ireland. We fully expect that it will be sold out within a matter of weeks”
The On the Water Boat Show will be organised on behalf of the IMF by Expo Events Ltd, Ireland’s leading exhibition organiser.
The Irish Marine Federation is the trade association, affiliated to IBEC, the Irish Business and Employers Confederation, representing all sectors of the marine industry in Ireland, and has approximately 100 member firms. |
