The organisers of the Paris Boat Show say that an attendance of 270,000 means that it can be seen as a success, taking into account the fact that work on the Paris tramway made access to the Porte de Versailles difficult.

The majority of those who attended were repeat visitors who had, on average, been attending for 12 years, but about a third were first time visitors. Most expressed satisfaction and 73% (compared to 67% last year) said they would be back next year. The same applied to the professionals who, in the main, expressed satisfaction at the quality of contacts they had established.

Next year’s show will be even bigger, with an additional 10,000 sq mtrs of exhibition space, which is to be used to give an increased international dimension to the show.
