USA. NMMA appoints event marketing director |

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced today the promotion of Amy Murray to event marketing director and the hiring of Jennifer Thompson as show manager for the Minneapolis Boat Show and Northwest Sports Show. Murray will report to Carl Blackwell, vice president of marketing and communications. Thompson reports to Jennifer Faulk, central regional shows manager.
“Amy and Jennifer have a proven track record of success and bring tremendous expertise and passion for recreational boating to these positions,” says NMMA president Thom Dammrich.
In her new position, Murray will oversee all event marketing programs, focusing on both the Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing national mobile marketing tour and Discover Boating Centers found at boat shows across the country.
Murray, who joined NMMA in 2004, previously held the role of show manager for the Minneapolis Boat Show and Northwest Sports Show. Prior to joining NMMA, she was a producer for the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and NFL Experience On Tour.
Thompson replaces Murray as show manager for the Minneapolis Boat Show and Northwest Sports Show. She returns to NMMA from the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), where she served as show manager.
Thompson’s past tenure with NMMA included five years as show manager for the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) and the International Boatbuilders’ Exposition and Conference (IBEX). |
