Press release: Supplementing the existing range of Inverter/Charger combinations, Victron Energy has added two new models - the Phoenix MultiPlus Compact 24V/2000VA/60A and the Phoenix MultiPlus 24V/4000VA/100A that are also available in 12V versions. Through the use of the latest hybrid switching technology, Victron Energy has succeeded in reducing not only the size but also the weight of the Phoenix MultiPlus 2000 Compact (from 18 kg to 10 kg). The model is now the smallest and lightest available for the power rating! The new 24V/4000VA/100A model has been designed employing the same hybrid technology that has resulted in an even higher capacity without any increase in dimension from the existing 3000VA unit. The new models will now be equipped with 32A switch through capacity, making it possible to connect a bigger generator directly to the MultiPlus without the need for additional equipment or complicated distribution schemes. The new models feature the unique PowerAssist© technology that enables the inverter to boost the power available from shore or generator during periods of peak demand to avoid tripping shore power or overloading the generator. Moreover, it allows the use of a smaller and lighter generator not only resulting in lower fuel consumption and less noise pollution but also less maintenance, all contributing to the cost efficiency and effective use of the generator. Both models are available in 12V and 24V versions. The possibility to connect several units in parallel or three phase allows expansion of capacity up to almost any required level. |
