BYM News has just learned that the Land's End has been successfully pumped out. 40 cubic metres of diesel and oil were removed from her tanks which are now empty. The operation was carried out by TMI, which pumped the oil and diesel into one of their barges and it was then transferred to the Ailette. The naval vessel Chevreuil stood between the Ailette and the coast, during the operation, in case any spillage had to be dealt with, whilst the Arago patrolled the 200 metre "no go" area around the sunken yacht.

The Ailette will take the oil and diesel fuel to either Toulon or Marseille.
