An operation to pump diesel from the tanks of the sunken megayacht Land's End could begin on Wednesday.

The Bastia office of TMI Europe, a company specialising in environmental protection, will move equipment into the zone tomorrow and, weather permitting, will start pumping out the 70 tonnes of fuel the next day. The fuel will be pumped into the Marine Nationale's De-pollution vessel Ailette.
