Claudio Chiarani Much wind today, on Garda Trentino, that shook all boats. One dismasted. On water for two races, today, in a spring-looking town. Since this morning, the wind was strong, 15 to 16 meters. At 13:00 the first starting signal, all boats on water, but soon two crews had to leave the race course, because of some difficulties. In the second race, other six boats did not finish the course, because the strong wind made them crash and damage, one dismasted. The rankings of today sees the skipper Olivier Chablais (SUI 19; 2.0) at the first place, followed by Hubert Frenzer (GER103 - 7.0) and Alain Marchand (SUI 60 - 7.0). Third score for Klaus Wende’s crew (GER 91 - 9.0). There’s no Italian crew this year racing for the trophy, only Swiss and German crews fighting. Tomorrow and Sunday more races planned, with the hope of no difficult caused by the wind! |
