USA. Match racing is coming to the Midwest |

Match racing is coming to the Midwest in the formof the Chicago Yacht Club 2005 Match Racing Regatta presented by Regatta GroupÆ.
The event is being held at Chicago Yacht Clubs Belmont Station May 6-8, 2005.
To accompany the racing, an open to the public, Match Racing Seminar will be hosted at Chicago Yacht Clubs Monroe Station on Friday, May 6th. Seminar will host Seahorse Magazines Dobbs Davis, Davis will also be acting as one of the umpires for the event along with Head Umpire Cliff Black. The seminar will be open to the public and will also include a panel of some of the race participants and umpires for the event.
Racing days for the regatta will be Saturday and Sunday May 7th and 8th, 2005.
Teams from all over the USA, Canada and Denmark are expected to attend.
Information on the event and teams will be on the event website which will be www.matchraceone.com and on Chicago Yacht Clubs website – www.chicagoyachtclub.org. The boats for the event will be 4 identical J80’s donated by Regatta Group Performance SailingÆ. Eight teams will be invited to the event, which will be an ISAF graded event to help match racing teams gain points towards their international rankings.
